What is Health?

If you ask ten different people what health means, you’ll probably get ten different answers.

For some, health is about being pain-free and moving with ease. For others, it’s about having the strength and endurance to enjoy an active lifestyle. And for many, it’s about staying mentally sharp and feeling good—not just physically, but mentally too.

But no matter how you define it, true health really comes down to just a few key things: moving well enough to do things you enjoy, feeling good throughout most days, and staying mentally sharp and clear. If you are not able to accomplish these main things, you should strive to improve your health; without good health we have nothing.

Your body was made to move. Whether it’s walking, lifting, stretching, or playing with your kids, movement keeps your joints happy, your muscles strong, and your energy high. It’s not about grinding through workouts you hate—it’s about finding ways to move that keep you feeling your best.

Pain and stiffness aren’t just “normal” signs of aging. They’re signals that your body needs attention. Strength training, mobility work, and daily activity all play a role in keeping you moving well for life.

It’s not just about looking fit or hitting certain numbers in the gym. True health means having energy throughout the day, sleeping well, and feeling strong enough to handle whatever life throws at you.

Nutrition, hydration, recovery, and stress management all matter just as much as exercise. If your body feels sluggish or run down, it might be time to check in on what you’re feeding it, how you’re resting, and whether you’re giving yourself time to recharge.

You should feel strong, energetic, and mentally sharp throughout the day.
